Zekun Li was born in Shandong, China, in 1993. He received B.S. from Shandong University, where he majored in materials physics. Later, Zekun continued to study at Shandong University with Prof. Weiliu Fan and Prof. Xian Zhao, focusing on designing novel transition metal-based electrocatalysts on water splitting. After receiving his Master's degree in 2019, Zekun joined the He group to pursue his Ph.D., mainly focusing on the MOF-based electrochemistry for organic synthesis. In his spare time, Zekun likes traveling and watching movies.
